SSD FOBTY (from yesterday)

You Are Salty

There's something about you that makes the world a better place.

You make life more colorful, more flavorful, and more vibrant.

You get along well with others. You always have something to add.

Without realizing it, people can become very addicted to you.

Feeling sappy today

I really love my designers. Well, they're not MINE exactly, but I am on their Creative Teams, and I just love the wide range of styles they represent. Elise's work is always so soft and pretty, and Amy's is fun and bright. Eva does a little bit of everything, and Kelleigh rocked my creative world when I discovered her hybrid templates! Plus, all four of them are amazing women, and I love promoting their work not only because I love it, but because I just like them all so darn much.

So without further ado and mushiness, here are a few projects from new releases today! Remember new releases are 20% off at The DigiChick on Thursdays.

This first layout uses Elise's Game On kit:
This layout uses Elise's Little Sugar Mini kit - she also released coordinating girl and boy mini minis today (the butterfly is from the girl mini mini):
And finally, Kelleigh released adorable baby rattle and diaper Baby Card Templates today - I resized the rattle and put it on her Perfectly Square Box Template. Papers by Sugarplum Paperie!
Thanks as always for looking (and commenting!).

Projects Galore

Sometimes I'm ridiculous. I have been cranking out the layouts and projects like there is no tomorrow (Really, though - that makes no sense. If there was no tomorrow, why would I need to finish projects? No one would see them.). Anyhow, here are just a few! Credits under each photo.

Sweet Treats

Do you know about Kelleigh Ratzlaff yet?? If you are at all interested in the hybrid scrapping world, you should!! She designs amazing templates - complete with cutting lines, scoring lines, and instructions - that make it SO EASY to put together adorable little gifts bags, boxes, and tons of other projects. She is running a little challenge on her blog (linked to her name above) with the cupcake template shown below - and you could win a gift certificate to her store! How cool is that??? If you scroll down below the template image you'll see some items I've created using her templates (they're not fully credited because I've posted them on my blog in earlier posts!).

Some of my projects using Kelleigh's templates:

SYTYCD: VOTE!!!

No, it's not So You Think You Can Dance (although I will be watching tonight!), it's So You Think You Can Design at DSA. The field has been narrowed, the kits for the 8 finalists have been submitted (2 designers had to drop out this week) - and THE VOTING STARTS TONIGHT!!!

The theme for week 5 was "My Favorite Thing" and my girl Amy Sumrall totally rocked it with one of the most unique kits I have seen in a LONG time. As a child of the 80s, I'm in love:

If you aren't registered at DSA, register! You can browse all the kits from the competition and download over 150 AWESOME designer kits for free. There are some big name designers participating! And once you're registered, VOTE (I would prefer of course that you vote for Amy, but all the finalists are fantastic!). And have fun playing with the kits!! :)

Here's a little hybrid card I did with the kit - In the early 80's, I was in Junior High and my friends and I would always sign our notes "LYLAS" for "Love You Like A Sis." My sister also grew up in the 80s and I thought this would be a fun birthday card for her to remind her of all the fun we shared during those years:

I love this card set, and SSD FOBTY 6/4

I am so happy with the way this little card box set turned out! I used Kelleigh Ratzlaff's Squared Off Correspondence Box Set and papers and elements from Apricot Spice by Elise Hansen, both available at The Digichick. Cards are based on Becky Fleck maps.

Today's FOBTY is to blog about your favorite zoo animal. Mine is easy! When I visited the San Diego zoo, I watched the hippos forever. They were playing around in the water together and were so cute - and so surprisingly graceful!!! Before then, I had no idea that hippos played!

Sick Girl = Creativity

I've been sick the last week or so - what better way to feel better than to scrapbook while propped up on pillows in bed?? I also recently bought a little photo mini-scanner and I have been busily scanning all the prints I have from the pre-digital camera era. It's been so much fun to look back on all those photos - and even though I already have scrapbooked those "events" I've found some hidden photo gems in there - a couple are featured below!

Here are a few of the layouts I've done...
