So exciting!

Four times a year, the Digichick designers release grab bags - a whole bunch of awesome goodies bundled together at great prices. August is one of those four times, and as you can see by the number of layouts I did using bags, I couldn't contain myself. SO MUCH GOODNESS and really, at great prices. Linked credits under each photo - hope you enjoy!

CHOO CHOO - it's a birthday blog train!

Today is Chelle's birthday and her creative team decided to celebrate with a freebie blog train! Also, everything in Chelle's store is 27% off today!

My contribution is a set of 2 printable cards that can be printed either as you see it in the preview (just cut out the card front and you're ready to go), or as layers that you can cut out and assemble in order to make a hybrid card. You can download the cards HERE.

Here are the hybrid versions of both cards - I added some distressing, fluid chalk, pop dots and Stickles!

The rest of the train stops are below - ENJOY!

How awesome are these??

Elise, Kelleigh and Amy are ALL releasing fantastic new products at The Digi Chick tomorrow (20% off new releases on Thursdays!!!). I am still working on my creation with Amy's release, but I wanted to show you what I've created with Elise and Kelleigh's products!

First, here's a preview of the releases:
What a Catch by Elise - this kit is SO PERFECT for Father's Day, and even if you don't know a fisherman, many of the papers and elements are versatile and perfect for any manly layout!

I so love this Daddy's Toolbox template by Kelleigh. I turned it into a tackle box (see below), and it's also the perfect shape for a pirate or treasure chest!!!!

And here are my creations!

This last creation is from the 6/15 sketch challenge at The Digi Chick - sketch by Dana!

Projects Galore

Sometimes I'm ridiculous. I have been cranking out the layouts and projects like there is no tomorrow (Really, though - that makes no sense. If there was no tomorrow, why would I need to finish projects? No one would see them.). Anyhow, here are just a few! Credits under each photo.

SYTYCD: VOTE!!!

No, it's not So You Think You Can Dance (although I will be watching tonight!), it's So You Think You Can Design at DSA. The field has been narrowed, the kits for the 8 finalists have been submitted (2 designers had to drop out this week) - and THE VOTING STARTS TONIGHT!!!

The theme for week 5 was "My Favorite Thing" and my girl Amy Sumrall totally rocked it with one of the most unique kits I have seen in a LONG time. As a child of the 80s, I'm in love:

If you aren't registered at DSA, register! You can browse all the kits from the competition and download over 150 AWESOME designer kits for free. There are some big name designers participating! And once you're registered, VOTE (I would prefer of course that you vote for Amy, but all the finalists are fantastic!). And have fun playing with the kits!! :)

Here's a little hybrid card I did with the kit - In the early 80's, I was in Junior High and my friends and I would always sign our notes "LYLAS" for "Love You Like A Sis." My sister also grew up in the 80s and I thought this would be a fun birthday card for her to remind her of all the fun we shared during those years:

I love this card set, and SSD FOBTY 6/4

I am so happy with the way this little card box set turned out! I used Kelleigh Ratzlaff's Squared Off Correspondence Box Set and papers and elements from Apricot Spice by Elise Hansen, both available at The Digichick. Cards are based on Becky Fleck maps.

Today's FOBTY is to blog about your favorite zoo animal. Mine is easy! When I visited the San Diego zoo, I watched the hippos forever. They were playing around in the water together and were so cute - and so surprisingly graceful!!! Before then, I had no idea that hippos played!

Happy Holidays!

We received our first holiday card yesterday (overachiever - you know who you are!) and I'm feeling woefully behind. I have several mini albums to finish/start as gifts, and I'm doing a December daily album that I've taken a daily photo for so far, but haven't started other than that. We have the tree and decorations to put up this weekend, and cookies to bake....but despite a to-do list a mile long, this is my absolute favorite time of the year.

Thought I'd share our holiday card with you all - it uses the Winter Wonderfull kit by Cinnamon Designs and is based on a sketch (and layout) by Juli at the Digi Chick. I've changed it around a bunch of times but I'm pretty sure this is the final version.
