And Mari -wow - this adorable Luvbug kit and matching Badge Book album are almost brand new! They were just released! And I love the vintage, worn look of this kit.
And last but certainly not least - these very versatile Playing Cards 1 and Playing Cards 2 templates by Kelleigh - they're the perfect size to hold a mini mini album or some coupons for someone you love!

Moscow bound - trip 2

We have our court date! We'll be leaving for Moscow on Saturday - unfortunately, we will be coming home without the little guy while we wait out the 10 day appeal period. Then it's back for trip 3 and then we'll all be home!

Finally finished

Yesterday I posted about Kelleigh's awesome Star Spangled Template Set. I had so many ideas for things to do with them - create a baby mobile - use them as starfish - put them with some planets in some fun kids' hanging craft kind of thing - that I was overwhelmed! But I finally settled on something I really NEED - an addition to my seasonal dining room table bowl (I add Easter eggs, Christmas ornaments, gourds in fall, etc. but don't really have anything for summer). I should tell you that the bowl is pretty gigantic, so the stars (both small and large) end up pretty good sized! In addition to the template set, I used digi papers from the June daily download at ScrapMatters.

Remember that Kelleigh also has a tutorial with these templates up on her blog!

Are you ready for the 4th??

Do you need decorating ideas for the Fourth of July?? Check out these awesome star templates that Kelleigh released today (they're on sale, too - 20% off!). I started a project that is super cute but I need to find some time to finish it. Ack!

She also posted a great tutorial on her blog - go check it out!

SSD FOBTY 6/25

Here's a fun little summer quiz for today's SSD FOBTY:

You Are a Bikini

You love warm days, and you don't shy away from the beach.

You're confident enough to not worry about how you look... but you're not a brazen show off either!

You feel sexy and young at heart - especially during the summer.

You are classic and chic. You rather own one designer swimsuit than a dozen cheap knock offs.

I want to be a....

Very nearby, we have this amazing place called Wannado City. It's a little town that is just for kids, and gives them a chance to experience all kinds of careers through play activities led by an awesome staff. Kids can be firefighters, pilots, policemen, fashion models, doctors, veterinarians, bakers, candy makers, archaeologists, lawyers....and that's just a partial list! Alexa LOVES to go there - she actually went three days last week! I decided to do a series of layouts of her play there....here are the first three in the series!

Amy's New Release (and Happy Birthday Elise!!)

Today is Elise's 30th Birthday!!! Sign up for her newsletter before 6/25 and you'll get a wonderful freebie and a great discount coupon to her store to celebrate her big day!

And....check out this AWESOME set of crayon brushes Amy released yesterday!! If you don't use PS/PSE, the png files are also included.

Here's a quick and easy layout I created with the set - but I am going to go back to it again and again for extra little touches on my kiddo layouts (I used some of her past freebies on the layout, too).

SSD FOBTY - 6/18

Another fun quiz!!

Your Gift Is Energy

You are easily excitable, and you love to be on the go. You crave intensity.

You need to live a dynamic, interesting, and challenging life. Otherwise, you get bored.

It's hard for you to relax. You're constantly being inspired to do something.

You're the type of person who finds success, innovation, and creativity easy.

How awesome are these??

Elise, Kelleigh and Amy are ALL releasing fantastic new products at The Digi Chick tomorrow (20% off new releases on Thursdays!!!). I am still working on my creation with Amy's release, but I wanted to show you what I've created with Elise and Kelleigh's products!

First, here's a preview of the releases:
What a Catch by Elise - this kit is SO PERFECT for Father's Day, and even if you don't know a fisherman, many of the papers and elements are versatile and perfect for any manly layout!

I so love this Daddy's Toolbox template by Kelleigh. I turned it into a tackle box (see below), and it's also the perfect shape for a pirate or treasure chest!!!!

And here are my creations!

This last creation is from the 6/15 sketch challenge at The Digi Chick - sketch by Dana!

I bet you're expecting to see some beach layouts. WRONG! We spent the day at the beach yesterday (I love living so nearby), so I don't have too much to show you from the weekend!!! Here are a couple layouts I did finish:

Feeling sappy today

I really love my designers. Well, they're not MINE exactly, but I am on their Creative Teams, and I just love the wide range of styles they represent. Elise's work is always so soft and pretty, and Amy's is fun and bright. Eva does a little bit of everything, and Kelleigh rocked my creative world when I discovered her hybrid templates! Plus, all four of them are amazing women, and I love promoting their work not only because I love it, but because I just like them all so darn much.

So without further ado and mushiness, here are a few projects from new releases today! Remember new releases are 20% off at The DigiChick on Thursdays.

This first layout uses Elise's Game On kit:
This layout uses Elise's Little Sugar Mini kit - she also released coordinating girl and boy mini minis today (the butterfly is from the girl mini mini):
And finally, Kelleigh released adorable baby rattle and diaper Baby Card Templates today - I resized the rattle and put it on her Perfectly Square Box Template. Papers by Sugarplum Paperie!
Thanks as always for looking (and commenting!).

Projects Galore

Sometimes I'm ridiculous. I have been cranking out the layouts and projects like there is no tomorrow (Really, though - that makes no sense. If there was no tomorrow, why would I need to finish projects? No one would see them.). Anyhow, here are just a few! Credits under each photo.

Sweet Treats

Do you know about Kelleigh Ratzlaff yet?? If you are at all interested in the hybrid scrapping world, you should!! She designs amazing templates - complete with cutting lines, scoring lines, and instructions - that make it SO EASY to put together adorable little gifts bags, boxes, and tons of other projects. She is running a little challenge on her blog (linked to her name above) with the cupcake template shown below - and you could win a gift certificate to her store! How cool is that??? If you scroll down below the template image you'll see some items I've created using her templates (they're not fully credited because I've posted them on my blog in earlier posts!).

Some of my projects using Kelleigh's templates:

SYTYCD: VOTE!!!

No, it's not So You Think You Can Dance (although I will be watching tonight!), it's So You Think You Can Design at DSA. The field has been narrowed, the kits for the 8 finalists have been submitted (2 designers had to drop out this week) - and THE VOTING STARTS TONIGHT!!!

The theme for week 5 was "My Favorite Thing" and my girl Amy Sumrall totally rocked it with one of the most unique kits I have seen in a LONG time. As a child of the 80s, I'm in love:

If you aren't registered at DSA, register! You can browse all the kits from the competition and download over 150 AWESOME designer kits for free. There are some big name designers participating! And once you're registered, VOTE (I would prefer of course that you vote for Amy, but all the finalists are fantastic!). And have fun playing with the kits!! :)

Here's a little hybrid card I did with the kit - In the early 80's, I was in Junior High and my friends and I would always sign our notes "LYLAS" for "Love You Like A Sis." My sister also grew up in the 80s and I thought this would be a fun birthday card for her to remind her of all the fun we shared during those years:

I love this card set, and SSD FOBTY 6/4

I am so happy with the way this little card box set turned out! I used Kelleigh Ratzlaff's Squared Off Correspondence Box Set and papers and elements from Apricot Spice by Elise Hansen, both available at The Digichick. Cards are based on Becky Fleck maps.

Today's FOBTY is to blog about your favorite zoo animal. Mine is easy! When I visited the San Diego zoo, I watched the hippos forever. They were playing around in the water together and were so cute - and so surprisingly graceful!!! Before then, I had no idea that hippos played!

Sick Girl = Creativity

I've been sick the last week or so - what better way to feel better than to scrapbook while propped up on pillows in bed?? I also recently bought a little photo mini-scanner and I have been busily scanning all the prints I have from the pre-digital camera era. It's been so much fun to look back on all those photos - and even though I already have scrapbooked those "events" I've found some hidden photo gems in there - a couple are featured below!

Here are a few of the layouts I've done...
Credits: Inspired by http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.a...out_id=1211855; background paper by Tracie Stroud; everything else from All Summer Long by Julie Billingsley.

Credits: sketch by Suzanne Baird; papers and elements from the Earth kit by Kristen Rice

Credits: all papers and elements from the Sunshine & Lemonade kit by Sugarplum Paperie (this month's gold member kit at DST).
